Welcome to the NAJHA

Welcome to the website for the North Area Junior Hockey Association (NAJHA).

NAJHA comprises ten northern Sydney-based junior hockey clubs. It is one of two associations which together form Sydney Junior Hockey Association (SJHA).

NAJHA runs hockey competitions for boys and girls from Under 9s to Under 15s. All these competitions are mixed. In addition, our clubs field teams in a boys Under 17 competition managed by Sydney Hockey Association (SHA).

Our U11, U13 and U15 age groups are divided into two or three divisions to cater for players with different skill levels. Our aim is to provide a range of participation and competition opportunities for boys and girls interested in hockey. Talented Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 NAJHA players can go on to represent SJHA teams in Hockey NSW's State Championships. Our Under 9 players play in monthly gala days that are focussed on having fun and learning to play in a team.

Matches

Our matches are usually held on a Friday evening or Saturday morning. Most games are on dedicated hockey turfs at Cintra Hockey Complex (adjacent to Concord Rugby Stadium), Gordon (Kuring-gai High School), Pennant Hills (Pennant Hills Park) or Ryde (Macquarie Park).

Under 15 Metro

Out best Under 15 teams play in the Sydney-wide 'Metro' competition, which is currently managed by Sydney Junior Hockey Association on behalf of the NAJHA and Central Area.
